Depending on the time we will visit Stykkishólm fishing village. Stykkishólmur is a town and municipality situated in the western part of Iceland, in the northern part of the Snæfellsnes
peninsula. It is a center of services and commerce for the area. Most of the people make their living from fishing and tourism. A ferry called Baldur goes over the Breiðafjörður fjord to the Westfjords. It also is the gateway to Flatey. The origin of Stykkishólmur can be traced to its natural harbor. The location became an important trading post early in Iceland's history: the first trading post in Stykkishólmur is traced back to the mid-16th century, even before Denmark implemented the Danish–Icelandic Trade Monopoly (1602 – 1787). From that time trading has been at the heart of the settlement's history. In 1828 Árni Thorlacius built a large house for his home and companies, the Norwegian house, which has been renovated and accommodates the local museum.

From Stykkishólmur we got to Arnarsta. Arnarstapi is a small fishing village at the foot of Mt.Stapafell between Hellnar village and Breiðavík. Today Arnarstapi is still a somewhat busy harbor during the summer months serving private fishing and recreational vessels as well with its maintained docks that were renewed in 2002. Being a popular destination of tourists in summer, Arnarstapi is today a thriving centre for local tourism activities where there is a variety of natural and culinary attractions as well and a cluster of second homes are located in and around the village.

Lóndrangar are a pair of rock pinnacles in Iceland. They are volcanic plugs of basalt that have been hewn out from softer surrounding rock by erosion.

Djúpalónssandur is a sandy beach and bay on foot of Snæfellsjökull in Iceland. It was once home to sixty fishing boats and one of the most prolific fishing villages on the Snæfellsnes peninsula but today the bay is uninhabited.

While we drive from Arnarstapi to Hellnar we are driving around the the Glacier Snæfellsjökull which is 1.446 meter high but is very small glacier or around 11 km2

We will have short stop a Ólafsvík fishing village and then we drive to Kirkjufell and Kirkufellsfoss one of the most photographed waterfalls in Iceland located near Grudarfjörður at the northern side of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The river Kirkjfellsá runs from the volcano Helgrindur and has three waterfalls in it, all called Kirkjufellsfoss.

Kirkjufell is a mountain that rises high above Grundarfjörður, the town where the ships arrive. The mountain Kirkjufell is 463 meter high and the mountain Kirkjufell has been listed as one of the to 10 most beautiful mountains in the world.
